Our 1st and 2nd grade students took full advantage of our Thanksgiving event to practice and master important social skills. Through shared activities, community experiences, and collaborative projects, students learned how to:
Work cooperatively in groups
Show gratitude and kindness
Communicate respectfully with peers and adults
Demonstrate responsibility during shared tasks
Practice patience, turn-taking, and listening skills
Events like this allow students to apply their social–emotional learning in real-life settings, strengthening confidence, empathy, and positive peer relationships. We are proud of the growth they demonstrated and the joy they brought to our school community during this special celebration.
