Things are starting to come together. Our school has the most amazing staff on the planet. They worked so hard today, moving classrooms, purging trash, cleaning, reorganizing, you name it, they did it. The place looks amazing. We are ready to see our students back tomorrow. Things may look a little different, especially for Mrs. Jackie’s class, but we are very glad to have our students back.
Thank you parents and staff for all of your hard work and prayers through this time!

I have been up to the school several times, met with staff, talked to staff, talked to plumbers, and restoration.
The preschool has running water, the floors no longer have standing water and there have been teams of people moving in and out all weekend. The plumbers have resealed all the pipes and wrapped them so they should withstand freezing weather. They are currently double checking their work to see that there are no leaks as the the water pressure returns. The company that works for our restoration is here to test for asbestos before proceeding with the clean-up. The drying out and cleaning has begun.

The severe winter storm has brought many new challenges to our school year. On Tuesday morning, the pipes broke in the education wing of the church, our preschool. The two classrooms that sustained the most damage were Classroom B and Classroom C. The Toddler rooms sustained no damage. All other rooms have about 2 - 3 inches of water depending on which end of the hallway they are on. Things may look a bit different for some time, but the excitement of being back to school and focusing on our students will provide us with our purpose.
Please feel free to contact me with any concerns you might have at this time. Please monitor here to see the current condition of the school and progress as it unfolds.

SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED February 16th-February 18th
As the severe winter weather continues over the next several days for the safety of our students, parents, and staff we will be closed.
Also, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), the governing body that oversees the electric grid in Texas, is requesting all Texans to limit and reduce their electric use as much as possible Sunday, Feb. 14 through Tuesday, Feb. 16. St. Christopher’s Episcopal Preschool will contribute what we can to that end as well.
Thank you parents and caregivers for your support during these strange wintery times and we will look forward to seeing our students when we can resume classes safely and responsibility.
